The Utah Pride employee resource group (ERG) focuses on community
outreach with special attention paid to LGBT causes, such as homeless youth. Our
goal is to organize at least one community outreach event per quarter, like
volunteering at a specific partner location or helping facilitate a drive for
an organization in need. We frequently volunteer with the VOA Youth Resource Center for Homeless
& At-risk Teens, Utah Pride Center, as well
as the Utah Food Bank. You can
read about one our recent volunteer experiences here.

In addition, the Pride ERG has
traditionally helped create the backdrop for the annual Dell EMC Utah Santa Saturday event.
Santa Saturday is a fun family event where kids can get their picture taken
with Santa and which benefits a different organization each year, like the United
Way, Fisher House, and Salt Lake Homeless Youth Resource Center.

Our main focus for 2017 has been continued
outreach and support of the organizations listed above, continued activity with
the Gay and Lesbian
Chamber of Commerce, as well as various meet-ups and
mixers for our members. Our most recent event was the Utah Pride Festival and
you can read about our experience in the latest Mozy Blog.

We’re always looking for new organizations to
volunteer with and new team members to add to our ERG. Please comment here to provide any suggestions or make requests!
