How many of you can say that your company is making a real impact to the community around you? How many can say that they are personally involved in that impact? Well, I for one can say "Yes!" to both of those questions as a proud Silicon Sloper at EMC. Charitable contributions, diversity & inclusion, and environmental sustainability make up our core DNA and define the culture EMC embraces so dearly.
As a Silicon Sloper in Utah, I have had the pleasure to meet Gov. Gary Herbert, Rep. Mia Love, Rep. Jason Chaffetz, as well as Senator Orrin Hatch. All of these distinguished individuals genuinely appreciate the impact that EMC is having in Utah. They are well aware of EMC’s involvement in the community and our success at being one of the Best Companies in Utah.

EMC has a passion to “Give Back” with several internal programs that allow employees paid time off for volunteer efforts and events to raise money and goods for the community. These outreach programs benefit incredible causes like STEM, youth shelters, Veterans, and food banks, to name a few. Whether it be sponsoring events like Utah Pride or places like the Loveland Aquarium, EMC offers everyone an opportunity to make a difference.

My family and I are recent transplants from Atlanta, GA and I can’t say enough about the warmth and hospitality from everyone in making us feel welcome in and out of the workplace. The Silicon Slopes will not only be known for its emerging tech industry, but also as a great place to live. I’m looking forward to being a part of this journey in Utah as a Silicon Sloper and can’t think of a better company to do that with than EMC!
